Christmas holiday's are approaching this weekend and we would like to advise all our patients that the practice will be closed on:

Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th December 2023

and

Monday 1st January 2024

Please see the information below on how to access healthcare & advice over the Bank Holiday weekends ........
  • Getting advice from a local Pharmacist is the best first step for a minor health concern on bank holiday.
  • Contact NHS 111 if you have a health condition that cannot be treated by a Pharmacist - call 111 or go online https://111.nhs.uk/, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • If you attend the Emergency Department without an appointment when you do not have a life-threatening emergency, you may be referred elsewhere for treatment or be assisted to use NHS 111.

When We Are Closed

NHS 111 is available for emergencies only.  Please telephone the surgery on 01457 854321 and listen carefully to the recorded message which will direct you to the appropriate service or dial 111 directly for advice.

If you are in need of urgent medical advice on Thursday afternoons when we are closed, please call Go to Doc on 0161 336 5958 (between the hours of 1pm and 6.30pm only) after 6.30pm you should call NHS 111.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
